With this current tricky situation, Victor can neither be deported nor be allowed to go out to New York City. The Customs duty officer could do nothing but to allow him to stay inside the terminal is provided food passes for the time being. Waiting for the situation to end as soon as possible, Victor gets accustomed to his new home- The Terminal and gets a job as a construction Worker to meet his temporary expenses.
Why The Terminal is a must-watch?
The movie keeps the fans engaging with a short and simple story. Tom Hanks’ European English accent and Handling a rare and tricky situation calmly show how great his performance is. We often see the news about Europe as a center of Higher Human Development Index which makes them the top happiest continent in the world. It is also a learning for travelers to see that airport terminals are not boring as yet. Best example: Singapore's Changi airport for its gardens, recreation activities to make the most of our waiting time for our next flight.
Moreover, Steven Spielberg has strike right to the goal of knowing his audience well and make us watch the movie one more time.
The sad side of the United States
We have been hearing news on how strict the security system in the United States is towards receiving foreign passengers post 9/11 attacks. With this trauma, the citizens and tourists are always kept under scrutiny and were asked tricky questions during the immigration stage. With this kind of new system, the US society has become extra cautious when expecting overseas passengers, especially from the Middle east.
Our own legend Shahrukh khan was caught in gimmicks while clearing the Immigration many times for entering the US due to their strict security system.
Fortunately, post-2008 recession, the US government under Obama has made the Visa process more transparent in welcoming the passengers in order to boost tourism and live their American dream.
The sad working conditions of the cabin crew.
Airhostess is one of the most underrated warriors in the world by taking care of passengers above 30k feet. They have to embrace different time zones and tolerate difficult passengers and little sexual violence. In the movie The Terminal, Tom Hanks, who befriended an Airhostess, expressed her imperfect side of an Airhostess job and making relationships with men. After listening to Nick's purpose of the visit to the USA, She then took a step forward and provided access to a one-day emergency trip to New York to fulfill Nick's final promise of his late father.
Movie Quotes :
Gupta Rajan: If I go home, I go to jail for 7 years.
Victor: What if the United States catches you? They deport you.
Gupta Rajan: As long as I keep my floor clean, keep my head down, they have no reason to deport me, they have no reason to notice a man like me.
Best Movie moments :
• Victor Narsovski rises to fame inside the terminal for saving a native passenger from falsely been arrested.
• Gupta Ranjan tries his hand of juggling in front of Victor and Amelia’s Candlelight dinner.
• After a couple of months, the war has finally come to an end. He is now allowed to free to visit New York City and is been greeted by the whole airport staff and vendors with gifts and food waiting for that moment to get past the entrance door to have a first but snowy view of New York.
